A dancer encounters a series of magical cakes and rejects them upon closer inspection. Meanwhile, her older self watches the scene in frustration because she can’t stop her younger self.
This video’s artistic concept, abstract cinematography and visual storytelling turns the song’s themes of perfectionism and self-doubt into a metaphor about life regrets.
As it should surprise absolutely nobody, I was inspired by the famous saying: “You can’t have your cake and eat it too”. My love for performance dancing also shows in this video, as it couldn’t be any other way.

The song “It Is What It Is” by the Brooklyn-based NeoSoul/Fusion band Mostacho Xprmnt, represents a battle against perfectionism and doubt.
